Assunta Nicolini is an independent researcher focusing on migration, forced displacement and security. Her area of expertise is in the region of Afghanistan and Pakistan where she regularly carries out research fieldworks.

Assunta holds a BA in Development Studies, a MA in Refugees Studies and a MsC in Social Research Methods. She is currently completing her doctoral thesis in Migration Studies at City University in London.
